for some reason 1.26 crapped out the animal population for some and they had to reset it. However a few people have had to reset their animal pop file once after 1.26.
The animal population is not static unless you don't interact with any need zones. And it won't be nearly as noticeable if you tend to play in a way that scares a lot of animals away. However it does take some time for the differences to become noticeable. I’m seeing around the same amount as before.Ĭollecting more need zones definitely increases the amount of animals spawned on the map. I spent several hours the other day discovering a lot of need zones again. After the 1.24 patch, it deleted all my need zones and I was seeing animals everywhere. I’m not sure about the need zones spawning animals either. To me, Need zones are just some place which animal might visit in a given timeline, but I could be wrong.
